From the East
Greetings Brethren and Ladies,
I hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
I am truly humbled that I have been installed as Worshipful Master and will do all in my power to make sure we have a happy and eventful year. We have already started off great with a wonderful New Year’s Eve party and if you missed it, you missed out!
I want to thank my Installing Officers, Worshipful Bill Graham, Worshipful Peter Krickhuhn, and Worshipful Bob Weldon for putting on a wonderful Installation. Congratulations to all the Officers that were installed and a big thank you goes out to all who helped make the installation possible.
I also want to thank everyone who came to the installation. I am happy everyone came and I am glad you all had a good time.
I am working on putting an exciting year for us all. I plan to set up some fun events and get everyone involved in the lodge. More to come soon!
This January we will be working with the committees, the Past Masters, and our Worshipful Inspector, Tom Handel to start the year off on a good foot and to get the ball rolling.
The Trestleboard is now electronic only. If you know of anyone that does not have an email or needs a paper copy, please call or email me or our Secretary, Worshipful Bill Graham so we can make sure everyone is able to read the updates.
Thank you all again and let’s make this an excellent Masonic year!
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Ken Bychak - Worshipful Master
From The West
Greetings and welcome to 2020!
I would like to start by thanking the brothers for electing me as your Senior Warden for this year. I am looking forward to serving you well from the West.
As we jump headlong into the New Year, yet more change and improvements are coming. The trestle board is now electronic and our website is being revamped. Multimedia is a primary tool to reach out and share the good things Santa Maria Lodge does, and will continue to do. Be sure and check the site from time to time as it continues to mature.
As we did in 2019, we want to continue to expand our “out of lodge” social activities, more to come as we work out a schedule of events. If there is an activity that interests you, please contact one of the officers so we can work it into the plans.
“The greatest enemy of progress is not stagnation, but false progress”.
We must ensure as we make changes and move forward it’s not just for the sake of change, but also for the betterment of the lodge and it’s members. Your participation is key. Whether, through attendance, supporting one of our charities, or actively participating in community outreach, without you, the Lodge cannot prosper. The Lodge always has a need. Ask yourself: Why did “I” become a Mason? And, What can “I” do to remind myself as to the purpose of our fraternity?
Fraternally,
Your Senior Warden.
Dave Murray
From the South
Greetings Brethren and Ladies to 2020!
Happy New Year and I hope your holiday was wonderful and full of joy! Congratulations to all of the newly installed officers, I look forward to an excellent and productive year with everyone.
As expected, the January Dinner will be our annual Chili Cook-Off. Mix up your favorite chili recipe and enter it in what will be a friendly competition of culinary might. Though some might find bragging rights far more satisfying as they stay with you for the year, there will be prizes made available for our first, second, and third place contestants.
Fraternally,
Chase Murray, Junior Warden
Happy New Year!! Congratulations to Worshipful Kenneth Bychak II and the 2020 Line of Officers!
We had a great Installation and if you missed it, you missed out! I look forward to another great year working with you and helping to make the Lodge go and grow. If you haven’t been by the Lodge in a while, I cannot think of a better time to get that rusty trowel out, polish it up and spend some time with your Brothers.
Dues Invoices are out and I have started to receive payments. Thank you! Remember, you have an obligation to pay your dues in a timely manner, by December 31st. The dues for 2020 are $111.00. Per our By-Laws, the calculation is $60.00 + per capita rounded up to the nearest dollar. Per capita is $50.75 this year, which gives us our total of $111.00.
This is also your time to catch up on last year dues if you have not paid. If you are 2 or more years in arrears, you may be suspended for non-payment of dues as per the California Masonic Code, Section 809.370. Suspension for Non Payment of Dues. Neither the Master, I, nor any other Brother in Lodge wishes this to happen!
If you are financially unable to pay your dues, please contact the Master to discuss.
If you have lost your envelope, you can mail your dues to:
Santa Maria Lodge No. 580,
PO Box 68, Ramona, CA 92065.
You can also go to our website, http://www.santamaria580.org, and pay online. If you have paid and have not received your card in a reasonable amount of time, please contact me at 951-970-4294 or secretary@santamaria580.org and I will take care of it.
Hope to see you in the Lodge!
