From the East
Greetings Brethren and Ladies,
It looks like we may be turning the corner on this COVID virus. We are now in the Red Tier in San Diego which allows us a bit more freedom and hopefully we will keep moving in the right direction. I do have a bit of news from our Worshipful Inspector, Gabe Borboa.
Greetings all,
The Most Worshipful Weiss is asking us to "get ready" to reopen the lodges. There is no official timeline for reopening but we need to take the necessary steps to do so. This includes such things as cleaning procedures, sanitizer stations, thermometers and county approved plans for gatherings.
The information is based on the current rate of vaccination and falling rate of new cases. As San Diego county prepares to move into the Red category, these preparations become more urgent.
We will be working on getting the Lodge ready and getting all the preparations taken care of soon. We want to be able to open and resume our fellowship as soon as we can. I will be working with the officers to develop a plan for us to reopen. If anyone has any questions, concerns, or ideas, please let us know.
Finally, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!
Take care and stay safe,
Ken Bychak - Worshipful Master

“Hope springs eternal in the human breast; Man never Is, but always To be blest. The soul, uneasy, and confin'd from home, Rests and expatiates in a life to come.”
What is meant by this quote?
People will keep on hoping, no matter what the odds. For example, I keep buying lottery tickets—hope springs eternal. This expression was coined by Alexander Pope in 1732 and quickly became proverbial.
Could it be coincidence, as spring is upon us, there is “hope” we are approaching an end to the worst world tragedy of our generation?
Psalm 34:17
When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.

Easter season is finally here, which means it's time for chocolate bunnies and egg hunts! While celebrating with the yummiest Easter candy and chocolates, it's also important to remember what this springtime holiday is really about: the season of renewal. This religious day marks rebirth in many different ways, after all, from the bloom of spring flowers after a long winter to the Christian celebration of resurrection.
As work toward ending the ongoing pandemic, do your best to keep yourself and your families safe. Please continue practicing social distancing where able, as well as washing of hands else we run the risk of another rise in virus spread. With effort from everyone, perhaps this Easter we can also celebrate the rebirth of our own lives and get things back to how they were.
Fraternally,
Chase Murray

Happy Easter!!!
We continue with the Virtual Meetings. If you have not logged in an joined us, please do! An email is sent to all addresses we have on file with the link. We would love to have more Brothers join us! Remember, even though we cannot meet in person, it is a chance for us to have some fellowship and at least see each other on the screen. The best part is, if you live far away or are out of state, here is your chance to say Hi! without jumping on a plane!
I am continuing to get Dues payments trickling in. However, we still have many Brothers that have not paid. If you have not paid your 2021 dues, you are officially overdue. If you are 2 or more years in arrears, you may be suspended for non-payment of dues as per the California Masonic Code, Section 809.370. Suspension for Non Payment of Dues. Neither the Master, I, nor any other Brother in Lodge wishes this to happen! PLEASE get caught up and pay your dues.
