• Tiler Brother Mark Lantz
• Junior Steward Brother Cole Dick
• Senior Steward Worshipful Bob Weldon
• Marshal Worshipful Bruce Smith
• Chaplain Worshipful Don Ruch
• Junior Deacon Brother Rex McCray
• Senior Deacon Brother Ken Bychak
• Secretary Worshipful Bill Graham
• Treasurer Worshipful Ken Bychak II
• Junior Warden Brother Pete Johnson
• Senior Warden Brother Chase Murray
I would also like to thank you my Brothers of Santa Maria for giving me the opportunity and HONOR to serve you as Master of the Lodge.
We have endured a tumultuous two years. I truly believe we have turned the corner, and are looking forward to a bright and successful year. I want to thank Worshipful Ken Bychak PM, for his devotion to our Lodge and fraternity these past two years. As you can imagine they haven’t been the easiest to be in the East.
My goal this year is to continue the work ,Worshipful Ken set in motion two years ago, to expand our visibility in the community, by becoming more involved in not only Masonic activities, but local charities, and youth organizations, and also to become more involved in our communities vision of Ramona.
• We will continue with our Scholarship Program for our local Seniors.
• We will move to support our 4H youth groups, and our High school NJROTC and our local Parades and Rodeo as they start up again.
• We also have a local Charity we will be adopting this year, for long term support.
• I have taken steps to re-join the Ramona Chamber of Commerce, giving us greater visibility into our community’s needs, and where we can help.
• We will also continue our support of our California Masonic Charitable organizations such as our Masonic Foundation, Masonic Homes, and our youth orders.
We must challenge ourselves to look to the future, and with determination and cooperation, we will work together to accomplish our goals and strive as a Lodge, well into the future.
Our past is the foundation of what we are today.
We must build on that foundation for the future of our community, our fraternity, and the future of our Lodge.
Have a Wonderful January.
I hope to see you at the January Stated Dinner and Meeting, 10 January @6:30.
Dave Murray - Worshipful Master
From The West
Greetings and welcome to 2022!
I would like to thank the brothers for electing me as your Senior Warden for this year. I am looking forward to serving all of you well from the West.
As we move into the New Year, yet more change and improvements are coming. We will soon begin the 2nd phase of our building improvement initiative, which is to include a new roof and new HVAC units for both upstairs and downstairs. Yes, that means no more too cold or too hot dinners and meetings at the lodge.
As we attempted pre-covid, we want to expand our “out of lodge” social activities, more to come as we work out a schedule of events but expect plans to include both local to Ramona and further outings. If there is an activity that interests you or your feel would be good for improving fellowship and bonding among brothers, families, and friends, please contact me so I can add it to our list of potentials.
As has been said in the past, we must ensure as we make changes and move forward it’s not just for the sake of change, but also for the betterment of the lodge and it’s members. Too often is it said “that is how we’ve always done it.” As we move forward in time, so too does the lodge need to move forward. It is hoped that with everyone’s help we can continue to grow our lodge and ensure that all brothers and friends can feel at home, find their place(s), and enjoy all that we as a community have to offer.
Chase Murray - Senior Warden
From the South
It is hard to believe we are in 2022 already. I look forward to a great beginning to the New Year.
Our January Stated meeting dinner will be downstairs in our newly renovated Dinning Hall. Unless otherwise noted, all dinners and functions will be held in the dinning hall going forward. You can enter the dinning hall from the Main street side of the building. If you have not already been to the lodge to see the newly remodeled Dinning Hall, I encourage you to do so. Please come out and see the work that has been done, enjoy the fellowship we all have missed, and enjoy a great meal.
Speaking of meals, January’s dinner will be or traditional Chili cook off. Please create your special chili and bring it to share with all. There will be voting on the Chili’s and the top 3 picks will win a prize. It is always a great time and great Chili’s to try out.
Let’s start this New Year right, and have a lot of Brothers, Wives (or significant others), family and friends attend our Stated Meeting dinner.
